Montenegro Drops November 13 Public Holiday Plans

The opposition of Montenegro's Bosniak party has caused the government of Montenegro to shelve its recently-announced plans to add November 13, the anniversary of the birth of the poet Petar Petrovic II Njegos, to the annual list of official non-working public holidays in Montenegro.

The plan to add November 13 (the anniversary of the birth of the poet Petar Petrovic II Njegos) to the annual list of official non-working public holidays in Montenegro, announced by the government of Montenegro, last month (2013-10-28), but the Bosniak Party, which represents the Montenegro's significant Bosniak-Muslim minority, voiced its opposition to the addition of November 13 to the annual list of official non-working public holidays in Montenegro.
