Trinidad and Tobago Eid Public Holiday Date Accepted

The president of Trinidad and Tobago's Anjuman Sunnat Ul Jamaat Association (ASJA), Yacoob Ali, has announced that the recently-announced date of Friday, August 9, 2013, as the official date of the upcoming non-working public holiday in Trinidad and Tobago in conjunction with Eid-ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan), was "acceptable".

Last week (2013-07-26), Trinidad and Tobago's Communication Minister, Jamal Mohammed, had announced that the Cabinet had declared Friday, August 9, 2013, as the official date of the upcoming non-working public holiday in Trinidad and Tobago in conjunction with Eid-ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) and in accordance with the Public Holidays and Festivals Act, as usual (2012-08-03, 2011-08-15, and 2011-08-12).
