Bahrain's Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, has issued a circular stipulating the official annual non-working public holidays in Bahrain for the upcoming 2014 Eid Al-Fitr (End of Ramadan) and the 2 days that follow, as non-working public holidays in Bahrain to mark the upcoming Eid Al Fitr holidays for the Islamic year 1435.
As per the aforementioned announcement, "On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr for the year 1435H, all of the Kingdom's ministries, directorates and institutions shall take a recess on the first day of Eid al-Fitr and the two days following it.", which corresponds to the period of Monday to Wednesday, July 28-30, 2014.
Contrary to what was done the past 2 years (2013-08-06 and 2012-08-15), the usual period of 3 days of non-working public holidays for the upcoming 2014 Eid Al-Fitr (End of Ramadan), was not extended to link it to a nearby Friday/Saturday weekend in Bahrain (2006-08-02).
