Bangladesh's National Moon Sighting Committee and Religious Affairs Committee has announced that the moon of the month of Ramadan had been sighted in Bangladesh's sky last night and therefore that the upcoming Lailatul Qadr (night of destiny) would be observed on the evening of Friday, July 25, 2014, to be followed on the next day by the corresponding annual non-working public holiday in Bangladesh.
Note that the aforementioned announcement is in line with the official list of 2014 non-working public holidays in Bangladesh, as contained in the DFIM Circular Letter of the Ministry of Public Administration, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh (2013-11-15), as the non-working public holiday related to the Lailatul Qadr is observed on the day which follows the Lailatul Qadr in Bangladesh.
