The Federal Government of Brazil, through its Ministério do Planejamento, Orçamento e Gestão, has announced its annual list of the official Brazilian non-working public holidays for the calendar year 2014.
This list, contained in the "Diário Oficial da União", confirms the dates of the Easter-related public holidays with another surprise observance for Good Friday.
The Dia do Servidor Público (Civil Servants' Day), remains officially set on the fixed date of October 28, and will not be moved in 2014, as is sometimes the case (2013-01-04 and 2010-12-03), but contrary to what happened in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012 (2007-12-28, 2008-11-12, 2009-11-10 and 2011-12-27).
