Indonesia's Central Bank, has announced that Wednesday, April 9, 2014, would also be a bank holiday in Indonesia and that, on that date, the Indonesian Stock Exchange would also close.
The aforementioned announcement is in line with the recent (2014-04-03) announcement by the Government of Indonesia's Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration, that Wednesday, April 9, 2014, the polling day for the upcoming parliamentary elections, had once again (2013-05-10, 2012-09-15, 2012-06-21, 2010-05-10, 2009-07-03, 2009-03-31, 2008-07-06, 2004-03-30 and 1999-05-29) been declared as a one-off non-working public holiday in Indonesia "so that employees across the country can concentrate on the elections without being burdened by work".
