The Kenyan Government's Cabinet secretary in charge of the Interior and Coordination of the National Government, Joseph Ole Lenku, has announced that the date of the annual non-working public holiday for the upcoming Idd-Ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) in Kenya would be Tuesday, July 29, 2014.
As per Gazette Notice 5021, contrary to what happened 2 years ago (2012-08-13), but in line with what happened the other years (2013-08-06, 2011-08-19, 2010-09-08 and 2009-09-11), Kenya has declared its 2014 End of Ramadan public holiday on the same date as many, though not all, other Muslim countries.
