Libya's ruling National Transitional Council has announced that the period of annual non-working public holidays in Libya, on account of the upcoming Eid (End of Ramadan) would be from Monday to Thursday, July 28-31, 2014.
The aforementioned announcement represents an extension of 1 day of the Eid public holidays in Lybia, as compared to the overhaul of Libyan public holidays carried-out 2 years ago (2012-01-08), as well as the official list of annual non-working public holidays in Libya as released by the Libyan government late last year (2013-12-11), and particular confirms that Libya is no longer using the Libyan Center for Remote Sensing and Space Science (LCRSS) Islamic Calendar (2007-08-29), and now seems to use a variant of the Saudi Umm-al-Qora Islamic Calendar.
