Libya's ruling National Transitional Council has announced that Thursday, October 23, 2014, would be a non-working public holiday throughout Libya to be observed as The Third Anniversary of the Declaration of Liberation.
As was the case last year (2013-10-20), the aforementioned announcement is in line with the Libyan National Transitional Council overhaul of the official list of national non-working public holidays in Libya, announced 2 years ago (2012-01-08) and the declaration the previous year (2011-10-23) by the Libyan National Transition Council that the Lybian NTC would declare October 23, as a new annual non-working public holiday in Libya, to be called Liberation Day.
