The government of Nepal has announced that Sunday, March 16, 2014, had been declared as a non-working public holiday in the capital, Kathmandu, and other parts of the hilly regions, on account of the upcoming annual Holi festival.
As usual (2013-03-25 and 2013-03-22), the 2014 Holi festival and associated non-working public holiday will be observed the following day, Monday, March 17, 2014, in the Tarai region of Nepal.
The aforementioned announcement is in line with last year's (2013-04-24) gazetted list of official non-working public holidays in Nepal for the Nepalese year 2070 (mid-April 2013 to mid-April 2014).
