Philippines President, Benigno Aquino III, has signed Proclamation No. 831, s. 2014, which lists the annual special and regular non-working public holidays in the Philippines for the calendar year 2015.

The aforementioned announcement of the special and regular non-working public holidays in the Philippines for the calendar year 2015, earlier than last year (2013-09-30), although historically, the list of non-working public holidays in the Philippines for the coming year is often released much later (2011-12-01, 2010-12-20, and 2009-01-07).

Proclamation 831 is a de facto reversal of most, if not all, of the "holidays economics" provisions of Republic Act 9492, "An Act Rationalizing the Celebration of National Holidays".

The new annual public holiday for the Chinese New Year, which had been promised for many years (2014-01-31, 2011-01-12 and 2011-01-03), is included in the list of special and regular non-working public holidays in the Philippines for the calendar year 2015.
