Swaziland's Home Affairs Minister, Princess Tsandzile, has announced that, once again, the annual non-working public holiday in Swaziland to mark King Mswati III's birthday would be moved to Thursday, April 24, 2014, due to its set date falling during the Easter weekend in 2014.

Two years ago (2012-04-14), Friday, April 20, 2012, had been declared a non-working public holiday throughout Swaziland to celebrate King Mswati III's birthday instead of the usual date for the King's Birthday annual public holiday which should have been Thursday, April 19, 2012. In its stead, Thursday, April 19, 2012, was then declared a regular working day in Swaziland, in compensation for Friday, April 20, 2012, having been declared a non-working public holiday.

Such last-minute announcements of non-working public holidays dates is common in Swaziland, although these last-minute announcements of public holidays dates are usually tied-in to the traditional/religious public holidays of Umhlanga and Incwala (2011-12-09, 2011-06-16, 2010-12-21, 2010-08-12,...).
