Syrian June 3 Public Holiday Ruled-Out

(Posted on Monday, June 2, 2014)

Source: Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA)

Earlier this morning, Syria's Interior Ministry issued a statement ruling-out the declaration of a one-off non-working public holiday in Syria on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, on the occasion of the upcoming presidential election.

The dates of some previous elections and/or referenda were sometimes declared as one-off non-working public holiday in Syria (24-May-2007), but this has not been systematic, by far.
