Afghanistan Prophet's Birthday Public Holiday December 23

(Posted on Saturday, December 19, 2015)

The government of Afghanistan has declared Wednesday, December 23, 2015, as an official non-working public holiday in Afghanistan on the occasion of the annual Birthday celebration of prophet Mohammad ("Milad al Nabi").

Contrary to what happened 4 years ago (14-Feb-2011 and 09-Dec-2010), but in line with more recent announcements of the Afghan non-working public holiday for the annual Birthday celebration of prophet Mohammad (11-Jan-2014 and 21-Jan-2013), there was no need to move the Prophet's Birthday public holiday due to a conflict with the same year's Liberation Day public holiday (14-Feb-2007).
