The government of Afghanistan has declared Wednesday, December 23, 2015, as an official non-working public holiday in Afghanistan on the occasion of the annual Birthday celebration of prophet Mohammad ("Milad al Nabi").
Contrary to what happened 4 years ago (2011-02-14 and 2010-12-09), but in line with more recent announcements of the Afghan non-working public holiday for the annual Birthday celebration of prophet Mohammad (2014-01-11 and 2013-01-21), there was no need to move the Prophet's Birthday public holiday due to a conflict with the same year's Liberation Day public holiday (2007-02-14).
