The government of Afghanistan has declared Friday, October 23, 2015, as an official non-working public holiday in Afghanistan on the occasion of the annual Afghan public holiday of Ashura.

As was the case in the past (01-Nov-2014 and 06-Nov-2013), the aforementioned announcement of Friday, October 23, 2015, as an official non-working public holiday in Afghanistan on the occasion of the annual Ashura non-working public holiday of Afghanistan, confirms the announcement, earlier this year (17-Jan-2015), by the government of Afghanistan, of the list of official public holidays in Afghanistan for the calendar year 2015.
