The government of Spain's autonomous region of Aragon has announced its annual list of regional non-working public holidays ("fiestas laborales, de carácter retribuido y no recuperables e inhábiles, para el año 2016 en la comunidad") for the upcoming calendar year 2016.

As is often the case, the aforementioned "Decreto del Gobierno de Aragón, por el que se fijan las fiestas laborales retribuidas, no recuperables e inhábiles para el año 2016 en la Comunidad Autónoma de Aragón" declares day in lieu public holidays to compensate the fact that the annual New Year and San Jorge public holidays fall on a Sunday in 2016.

The other regional public holiday chosen is the usual (2014-04-30, 2013-05-11 and 2012-08-02) Saint-George's Day (San Jorge, Día de Aragón) on April 23.
