Argentina's Central Bank (BCRA) has announced that Thursday, December 24, and Thursday, December 31, 2015, would be half-day bank holidays in Argentina.
Earlier this month (2015-12-22), as per custom (2014-12-15 and 2013-12-17), newly-elected Argentine President, Mauricio Macri, had decreed, year-end, public holidays for Argentina's public sector, on December 24 and 31, 2015, in addition to the previously-announced 2015 and 2016 official public holidays in Argentina (2015-10-30 and 2014-01-29).
However, as per the aforementioned decree, these 2 additional non-working public holidays did not apply to the banking sector (no incluye al personal del sistema financiero y bancario).
