Argentina's Ministry of the Interior has released the full annual official list of non-working public holidays, including the previously-released bridge public holidays ("feriados con fines turísticos"), in Argentina for the upcoming calendar year 2016.
The aforementioned announcement ("Feriados Nacionales y Puentes Turísticos 2016") is in line with the 2010 decree, published in the Boletín Oficial (Número 32.020, Año CXVIII), implementing a major public holidays revision (2010-11-03) and the Decreto 1768/2013 which lists the one-off non-working bridge public holidays ("feriados con fines turísticos") for the calendar years 2014, 2015 and 2016 (2013-11-12).
In addition, in a separate announcement, the Chief of Staff to President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, Aníbal Fernández, confirmed that the recent change of date (2015-10-27) for the 2015 Día de la Soberanía Nacional non-working public holiday in Argentina, from Monday, November 23, 2015, to Friday, November 27, 2015, to avoid the possible, and more than likely, November 22, second round of the upcoming presidential elections, falling in the middle of a 3-day weekend, had been gazetted as the decreto 2226/2015 ("Trasládase, con carácter excepcional, sólo para el corriente año, el feriado nacional establecido para el día 20 de noviembre de 2015, al día 27 del mismo mes").
