Bahrain's Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, has issued a circular declaring Friday and Saturday, October 23 and 24, 2015, as this year's non-working public holidays in Bahrain to mark the upcoming anniversary of Ashura for the Hijri year 1437.

Contrary to what happened last year (29-Oct-2014), but in line with previous years (10-Nov-2013 and 20-Nov-2012), as the aforementioned dates of Friday and Saturday, October 23 and 24, 2015, as this year's non-working public holidays in Bahrain to mark the upcoming anniversary of Ashura for the Hijri year 1437, do coincide with the Fridays and Saturdays weekly days of rest in Bahrain (02-Aug-2006), the circular goes on to declare compensatory non-working public holidays for the Bahraini governmental ministries, directorates and institutions on Sunday and Monday, October 25 and 26, 2015.
