Bangladesh's Cabinet Division Secretary, Muhammad Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, has announced that the previously-released list of official non-working public holidays in Bangladesh for the calendar year 2015 had been amended by moving the date of the upcoming Durga Puja annual non-working public holiday of Bangladesh, from its announced date of October 23, 2015.
The aforementioned moving of the date of the upcoming Durga Puja (also called Bijoya Dashami) annual non-working public holiday of Bangladesh, from its announced date of October 23, 2015, to a day earlier, Thursday, October 22, 2015, had been requested by some of the leader of Bangladesh's Hindu community, as both the Nabami and Dashami festivals occur on the same date in 2015.
This announcement thus amends the official non-working public holidays in Bangladesh for 2015 (Notice No: 05.00.0000.173.08.005.12-246), which was released earlier this year (2014-11-03).
