The government of Benin, through its "ministre de la fonction publique", Aboubacar Yaya, has declared Wednesday, December 23, 2015, as a non-working public holiday in Bénin ("a déclaré la journée du mercredi 23 décembre chômée et payée sur toute l'étendue du territoire national") on account of the upcoming annual Maloud non-working public holiday of Bénin (the Prophet's birthday).
The aforementioned declaration of Wednesday, December 23, 2015, as a non-working public holiday in Bénin on account of the upcoming annual Maloud non-working public holiday of Bénin (the Prophet's birthday), is in line with the previously-announced list of annual non-working public holidays in the Benin, as announced by the government of Benin, earlier this year (2015-01-09).
