Bolivia's Minister of Labour, José Gonzalo Trigoso, has announced that no decision had yet been made as to the declaration of one or more non-working public holidays in Bolivia, on account of the upcoming visit of Pope Francis.
Pope Francis will be in Bolivia July 8-9-10, 2015.
As per the aforementioned communiqué, "[Declarar]como feriado no creo, pero es una opinión personal. Supongo que esto se va a definir todavía a otro nivel y en otro momento. El tema no se ha tocado.".
Recall that, late last year, the Bolivian Government declared a one-off public holiday in Bolivia on account of the passage of the Dakar Rally, only to cancel it a couple of weeks later (2014-12-13, 2015-01-01, 2015-01-07 and 2015-01-08).
