The Consejería de Economía y Hacienda del Gobierno de Cantabria has gazetted its annual list of 2016 annual non-working public holidays (calendario laboral) in Spain's Autonomous Region of Cantabria.

The aforementioned "Orden HAC/30/2015, de 7 de agosto de la Comunidad Autónoma de Cantabria, por la que se establece el Calendario de Fiestas Laborales para el año 2016 en el ámbito de la Comunidad Autónoma de Cantabria" (BOC de 18 de agosto de 2015) was established in line with the dispositions of the Real Decreto 2001/1983, as amended by the Real Decreto 1346/1989.

In 2016, after a few years absence (2014-07-02, 2013-10-10, 2012-08-22 and 2011-08-12), the autonomy declared July 28 (Día de las Instituciones) as a public holiday, instead of Easter Monday.
