The Government of Honduras, in a communiqué of the Secretaría de Derechos Humanos, Justicia, Gobernación y Descentralización, has in turn announced that it would move the date of the upcoming annual Americas' Day Honduras non-working public sector holiday to Monday, April 20, 2015, from its annual date of April 14.
Earlier this week (2015-04-08), the private employers' confederation of Honduras (Consejo Hondureño de la Empresa Privada - Cohep), had announced that employees of the Honduras private sector would observe the upcoming annual Americas' Day Honduras non-working public holiday on Monday, April 20, 2015, instead of the annual date of April 14.
At that time, we had written that It was expected, but yet to be confirmed, that the Government of Honduras would also move the date of the upcoming annual Americas' Day Honduras non-working public sector holiday to Monday, April 20, 2015, from the annual date of April 14, as it did on the recent occasions when that particular Honduras public holiday fell on a mid-week day (2011-04-12, 2010-04-12, 2009-04-14 and 2009-04-03).
