(Posted on Sunday, May 24, 2015)

The Mexican Ministry of Labour ("Secretaría del Trabajo y Previsión Social") has announced that Sunday, June 7, 2015, would be a nationwide non-working public holiday ("día no laborable en todo el territorio nacional") on account of the upcoming legislative elections.

As usual (28-Jun-2012 and 04-Jul-2009), the aforementioned communiqué refers to Article 74 of Mexico's labour law ("Ley Federal del Trabajo") as amended almost a decade ago (17-Jan-2006).
