The Federal Government of Pakistan has once again amended the dates for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holidays throughout Pakistan for the calendar year 2015.

As per the aforementioned announcement by Pakistani Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar, the upcoming 2015 Eid-ul-Fitr public sector holidays in Pakistan will run from Friday, July 17, to Tuesday, July 21, 2015, which is 2 days longer than what was announced in the "expected dates for public and optional holidays for the calendar year 2015" published by the Government of Pakistan at the beginning of the current year (2015-01-12).

Contrary to what happened in some past years (2015-01-12, 2013-07-31 and 2012-08-09), but not all (2011-08-25 and 2010-09-05), the Government of Pakistan thus extended the duration of the upcoming 2015 Eid-ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holidays in Pakistan for "for government organizations, semi-government organizations, banks and educational institutions".
