The government of Peru has released its annual list of the official non-working public holidays for both the private and public sectors of Peru for the upcoming calendar year 2016 ("feriados para sector público y privado").
For the third year (2014-12-09 and 2014-03-31), but contrary to was done in past years (2013-01-01, 2011-12-29, 2011-03-06, 2010-02-17, 2008-12-15, 2008-02-08 and 2006-09-15), it appears, from the aforementioned list of the official non-working public holidays for both the private and public sectors of Peru for the upcoming calendar year 2016, that the Government of Peru does not intend to declare additional non-working public holidays in Peru in 2016 to stimulate internal tourism (con el fin de fomentar el desarrollo del turismo interno y dinamizar las economías locales), although a few isolated one-off public holidays in Peru are always possible (2015-09-12, 2015-07-23 and 2014-12-14).
