Qatar's Emiri Diwan has confirmed that Tuesday, February 10, 2015, had been declared as a non-working public holiday in Qatar on account of the upcoming 2015 National Sport Day non-working public holiday of Qatar.

Three years ago (07-Dec-2011), Qatar's Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, issued a decree declaring "National Sports Day" as a new annual non-working public holiday in Qatar, beginning in February 2012.

As per the Emiri Decision No.80 of 2011, which declares the second Tuesday of February, every year beginning in 2012, as National Sports Day, this will be an official paid holiday, in accordance with the Qatari Labour Law No.14 of 2004, which took effect on January 6, 2005, and as amended by the Law No.8 of 2009 (03-Sep-2009).
