The Office Of Public Service Management of the Turks and Caicos Islands has released the annual list of official non-working public holidays in the Turks and Caicos Islands, for the calendar year 2016, as approved at last month's Cabinet meeting.
Once again (2014-10-09), the dates in the aforementioned list of 2016 official non-working public holidays in the Turks and Caicos Islands are in line with the most recent changes to the public holidays in the Turks and Caicos Islands legislation (2014-02-11) and, as such, we do not expect these 2016 public holidays dates to be amended in due course, as has often occurred in the past (2013-11-26, 2012-03-27, 2011-02-25, 2010-02-01 and 2009-03-17), though last-minute, weather related, one-off, public holidays declarations are always a possibility in the Turks and Caicos (2015-09-30).
In a separate announcement, issued by the Deputy Governor of the Turks and Caicos Islands, Anya Williams, it was announced that there would be 2 half-day one-off non-working public sector holidays in the Turks and Caicos Islands, on Thursday, December 24, 2015 and Thursday, December 31, 2015.
