The Small Business Minister of the State Government of Australia's State of Victoria, Philip Dalidakis, has officially announced a revision to the list of official non-working public holidays in Australia's State of Victoria for the calendar year 2016, with the re-inclusion of Christmas Day as a non-working public holiday in Australia's State of Victoria for the calendar year 2016.

The list of official non-working public holidays in Australia's State of Victoria for the period of 2016 and 2017, had been released by the State Government of Australia's State of Victoria, more than 2 years ago (2015-10-22 and 2014-03-17), and had been later amended (2015-08-17), when the same Small Business Minister of the Government of Australia's State of Victoria, Philip Dalidakis, announced the expected declaration of 2 new annual public holidays in Australia's State of Victoria, on the day of the AFL Grand Final parade, and on Easter Sunday. However the fate of Christmas Day, falling on a Sunday in 2016, had been ignored and that date had not been listed as a non-working public holiday in Australia's State of Victoria for the calendar year 2016.
