Bahrain's Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, has issued a circular declaring Sunday, December 11, 2016, as the date of the upcoming annual non-working 2016 public holiday in Bahrain to mark the Anniversary of the Birthday of Prophet Mohammed non-working public holiday of Bahrain.
As was the case some previous years (2015-12-20, 2014-01-09 and 2013-01-21), but not all (2014-12-31 and 2012-02-01), as the aforementioned date does not coincide with the Fridays and Saturdays weekly days of rest in Bahrain (2006-08-02), the aforementioned circular makes no mention of a day in lieu non-working public holiday for the Kingdom of Bahrain's ministries and state departments.
