The Council of Ministers of Belarus has approved the annual list of official non-working public holidays in Belarus in the calendar year 2017, and released the details thereof in the "Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 912".

Contrary to last year (2015-11-13), the government of Belarus did not first make a preliminary announcement that it had finalized its annual list of official public holidays in Belarus for the upcoming calendar year.

The aforementioned Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 912 ("In accordance with the sixth part of Article 136 of the Labor Code of the Republic of Belarus Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus has decided to move the working days in 2017") confirms the official public holidays in Belarus for the upcoming calendar year 2017, and for the 5th consecutive year (2015-11-25, 2014-11-12, 2013-12-02 and 2012-12-01), lists one-off bridge and day in lieu public holidays in Belarus for 2017, before the beginning of the year, rather than on a case-by-case basis as was the case in previous years (2012-06-03, 2012-04-09, 2012-03-01, and 2011-12-29), though last-minute changes are always possible (2014-12-17).
