Sources in Bolivia's Minister of Labour have indicated that the Government of Bolivia is planning to declare of Monday, May 2, 2016, as a non-working public holiday in Bolivia, due to the annual, May 1, non-working public holiday of Bolivia falling on a Sunday in 2016 ("hasta la próxima semana se emitirá un comunicado en el que se instruirá que el feriado por el 1 de mayo recorrerá al lunes").

The annual, May 1st, non-working public holiday of Bolivia has often been the source of an additional day in lieu public holiday in Bolivia when it fell on a Sunday (15-Apr-2011), and also in some cases Saturday (29-Apr-2004), though not in recent years (27-Apr-2010), while some bridge holidays were declared on (28-Apr-2012) and off (13-Apr-2014 and 09-Apr-2014).
