Bolivia's Minister of Labour has issued a communique confirming that the upcoming August 6, aniversario de fundación del actual Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia [sic], annual public holiday of Bolivia is a compulsory annual non-working public holiday in Bolivia for both the private and public sectors and that it will be observed on Saturday, August 6, 2016.
The aforementioned announcement, contained in the Decreto Supremo 2750 ("el feriado del sábado 6 de agosto, con suspensión de actividades públicas y privadas"), goes on to state that, as was done on some past occasions (29-Dec-2015), the Bolivian public sector will close-down early on the afternoon of Friday, August 5, 2016 ("El Ministerio de Trabajo dispuso jornada continua de actividades para el viernes 5 de agosto, tanto en el sector público como privado, con motivo de la conmemoración del 191 aniversario de fundación del actual Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia"), as well as the private sector, which is rare.
