The Bonaire government has released its annual list of official non-working public holidays in Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba, for the calendar year 2016.
Once again (2015-01-27, 2013-09-29 and 2012-11-02), and despite some discussions last spring about the cancellation of the December 15 Kingdom Day public holiday (2015-04-10), the aforementioned confirms the previous announcement by the Bonaire government (2012-01-10 and 2011-11-23) that the December 15, Kingdom Day, public holiday would remain a non-working public holiday in Bonaire, following the Netherlands Antilles' split into 3 parts, in October 2010.
Beginning in 2014, all of Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba also stopped observing a public holiday on April 30, for a new King's Birthday public holiday on April 27, as did the Netherlands (2013-01-30).
