Chile's Ministro Secretario General de Gobierno has announced a revised version of the annual list of bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Chile ("Feriados de carácter general" and "Irrenunciable") for the calendar year 2016, which it had released last year in conjunction with Chile's Ministerio del Trabajo y Previsión Social and had already amended once last spring.

As was the case last spring (2016-04-24), when Chile's Ministro Secretario General de Gobierno had announced a revised version of the annual list of bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Chile for the calendar year 2016 (2016-01-01), today's further revision to the list of bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Chile for the calendar year 2016 is due to the inclusion of the date of the upcoming second round nationwide municipal elections("Elecciones Primarias Municipales").
