Source: Ministerio de Trabajo y Seguridad Social de Costa Rica (San José)
Posted: Thursday, December 15, 2016

The Costa Rican Ministerio de Trabajo y Seguridad Social (MTSS) has issued a communiqué ruling-out the declaration of Monday, December 26, 2016, and Monday, January 2, 2017, as additional non-working public holidays in Costa Rica due to the upcoming annual Christmas and New Year public holidays of Costa Rica falling on a Sunday.

The aforementioned announcement that neither Monday, December 26, 2016, nor Monday, January 2, 2017, would be declared as additional public holidays in Costa Rica due to the Christmas and New Year public holidays of Costa Rica falling on a Sunday, is in line with the list of official non-working public holidays in Costa Rica for the calendar years 2016 and 2017, announced respectively a year ago (2015-11-30) and earlier this week (2016-12-12).
