Ghana's Minister of the Interior, Prosper Bani, has issued a statement indicating that Monday, September 12, and Wednesday, September 21, 2016, were non-working public holidays in Ghana, and that both days are statutory holidays to be observed as such.
The aforementioned declaration of Monday, September 12, 2016, as the date of the 2016 Eidul-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) non-working public holiday in Ghana, is in line with the dates set out in the announcement (2016-01-01) by the government of Ghana of its official list of the annual non-working public holidays for the calendar year 2016.
For its part, the declaration of Wednesday, September 21, 2016, as a non-working public holiday in Ghana, is due to the occurrence of the upcoming Birthday of Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah annual public holiday (2009-09-03, 2009-06-04, 2009-02-20, 2009-01-30 and 2007-02-01).
