Jordan's Prime Minister, Abdullah Ensour, has announced that Thursday, June 2, 2016, had been declared as a one-off non-working public holiday in Jordan, to commemorate the centennial of the Great Arab Revolt.
In a separate announcement, the Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan has issued the Memorandum 29/5/2016, Ref.10/2/7436, which announces a bank holiday in Jordan on Thursday, June 2, 2016, to commemorate the centennial of the Great Arab Revolt
The aforementioned announcement of a bank holiday and a public holiday in Jordan, on Thursday, June 2, 2016, to commemorate the centennial of the Great Arab Revolt, is in addition to the previously-released (2015-10-22), list of annual non-working bank holidays and public holidays in Jordan for the calendar year 2016.
