The Kuwait Banking Association (KBA) has relayed the announcement by the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK), that the upcoming bank holidays for the annual Eid Al-Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holidays of Kuwait, would also run from July 5, until July 9, 2016, inclusively.
Today's announcement, follows and mirrors last week's announcement (2016-06-23) by the Kuwaiti Head of Civil Service Commission (CSC) that the extent of the 2016 annual non-working public holidays in Kuwait for the upcoming annual Eid Al-Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holidays would be five days, "whether Ramadan is 29 or 30 days", meaning that the upcoming annual Eid Al-Fitr public holidays would cover the 5 days from July 5, until July 9, 2016, in line with the length of the Eid Al-Fitr public holidays in Kuwait of most recent years (2015-07-09, 2013-07-28, 2012-08-13 and 2011-08-22), save one (2014-07-16 and 2014-07-08) when 9 consecutive days of non-working public holidays in Kuwait were declared for the 2014 annual Eid Al-Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holidays of Kuwait.
Recall that, normally, the 30th day of the month of Ramadan, July 5th, this year, in the years when there is a 30th day, is usually a government-only public holiday in Kuwait.
