The Government of Lebanon, reacting to the recent declaration of Monday, April 4, 2016, as a compensatory non-working bank holiday in Lebanon in 2016 to compensate the fact that the Annunciation non-working public holiday of Lebanon falls on the date of another non-working public holiday of Lebanon in 2016, namely Western Good Friday, has re-issued an unchanged list of official Lebanese non-working public holidays in Lebanon for the calendar year 2016.

Earlier this week (2016-03-21), the Association of Banks in Lebanon in conjunction with the Banque du Liban (Lebanon's Central Bank), had issued yet an amended version of it annual list of Lebanese non-working bank holidays in Lebanon for the calendar year 2016 (2016-02-27 and 2016-01-07), by declaring Monday, April 4, 2016, as a compensatory non-working bank holiday in Lebanon in 2016 to compensate the fact that the Annunciation non-working public holiday of Lebanon falls on the date of another non-working public holiday of Lebanon in 2016, namely Western Good Friday

The aforementioned re-issuance of an unchanged list of official Lebanese non-working public holidays in Lebanon for the calendar year 2016, is thus in line with the annual list of official Lebanese non-working public holidays for the calendar year 2016, released late last year by the Government of Lebanon (2015-11-29).
