Late last night, the President of Maurtitania, issued a communique once again extending the previously-announced date of Monday, September 12, 2016, by one day for the upcoming Aid El Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) annual non-working public holiday in Mauritania ("la journée du mardi 13 septembre 2016, suivant celle de la fête d'El Aid Al Adha, sera fériée chômée et payée sur toute l'étendue du territoire national").

The aforementioned date of Monday, September 12, 2016, for the first day of the Aid El Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) annual non-working public holiday in Mauritania, had been in line with the dates that were announced, late last year (2015-12-28), in the list of official non-working public holidays in Mauritania for the calendar year 2016.

Such extension, to a second day, of the Aid El Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) annual non-working public holiday in Mauritania, is common (2016-07-06, 2014-07-28 and 2014-07-27).
