The Government of Morocco, through its "ministère de la fonction publique et de la modernisation de l'administration", has confirmed its previously-announced date for the upcoming 2016 Fatih Moharam 1438 (Hijri New Year 1438) non-working public holiday in Morocco, following an announcement by the "ministère des Habous et des affaires islamiques".

The aforementioned announcement of the date for the upcoming 2016 Fatih Moharam (Hijri New Year) non-working public holiday in Morocco, as Monday, October 3, 2016 ("Le 1er Moharram de la nouvelle année de l'Hégire 1438 correspondra au lundi 3 octobre"), is in line with the date of the Muslim non-working public holidays in Morocco for the calendar year 2016, as announced late last year (2015-12-31).
