Oman's minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, and Oman's Minister of Manpower, have announced the dates of the upcoming annual National Day annual non-working public holidays for the public sector and the private sector, respectively, in Oman, for the calendar year 2016.
As per the aforementioned announcement by Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court and Head of the Civil Service Council, Wednesday and Thursday, November 23 and 24, 2016, have been declared as non-working public holidays for all the Civil Service organizations and the public sector of Oman.
In a separate announcement, the Minister of Manpower, Shaikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Al Bakri, also declared Wednesday and Thursday, November 23 and 24, 2016, as non-working public holidays for the employees in the private sector of Oman.
Both the private and public sectors will thus benefit from a 4-day National Day of public holidays, as November 23 and 24, 2016, are followed by the recently changed (2013-04-06) Friday and Saturday weekend of Oman.
