Omani authorities have released the dates of the annual non-working public holidays in Oman for the calendar year 2016.
The aforementioned announcement of the dates of the annual non-working public holidays in Oman for the calendar year 2016, is an estimate for the Omani non-working public holidays, which can always be shifted and/or extended at the last minute (2015-12-16, 2015-10-13, 2015-10-07, 2015-09-17, 2015-07-13 and 2015-05-10).
In addition, the November 18-19, Oman's National Day non-working public holidays, are by tradition regular working days (2009-11-18), and the actual dates of the corresponding public holidays are announced at the last minute for a later date (2015-11-18, 2014-11-18, 2013-11-13, 2012-11-19, 2011-11-19, 2010-12-11, 2009-11-20, 2008-11-17, 2007-11-13, and 2006-11-16), usually in the last week of November, though they were moved to December in 2009-2010-2011 to avoid a collision with the Eid al Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) and Islamic New Year public holiday in Oman.
Finally, recall that Oman's weekends are now Friday-Saturday for both the public as well as the private sector (2013-04-06).
