The government of Saudi Arabia, via a Tweet by its Ministry of Civil Service, has announced that this year's Eid al Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) public sector holidays would be extended by 2 days (the 16th and 17th of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah 1436 AH), with work for all sectors of the state starting again on Sunday, September 18, 2016.
In the past the Eid Al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) Saudi public sector holidays, have regularly been extended from 10 days to 11 days at the min and sometimes to 16 days (2015-09-23, 2013-09-26, 2012-09-17 and 2011-10-27), as is the case this year in view of today's announcement and that earlier this month (2015-09-13).
