Following the recent gazetting of the 2017 public holidays in the last of Spain's autonomous regions (Ceuta, Melilla and Murcia), the national government of Spain has gazetted its annual list of official national non-working public holidays (calendario laboral) in Spain for the upcoming calendar year 2017.

The aforementioned "Resolución de 4 de octubre de 2016, de la Dirección General de Empleo, por la que se publica la relación de fiestas laborales para el año 2017." which was gazetted yesterday (in the BOE-A-2016-9244, Núm. 244, Sábado 8 de octubre de 2016, Sec. I. Pág. 71907) of nationwide 2017 non-working public holidays in Spain is supplemented by 2 additional non-working public holidays declared by each of Spain's autonomous regions (2016-10-08, 2016-10-08, 2016-09-20, 2016-09-16, 2016-09-03, 2016-09-01, 2016-08-05, 2016-08-04, 2016-07-29, 2016-07-19, 2016-07-15, 2016-07-08, 2016-06-24, 2016-06-20, 2016-06-14, 2016-06-13, 2016-05-20), as well as 2 municipal non-working public holidays for each municipality.

Despite indications, a few years ago (2013-11-18), that some mid-week public holidays might be moved to adjoin a nearby weekend, as had been raised shortly after the current/preceding government was elected (2012-01-12), no such move was made in 2017, as it was not last year (2015-10-23).
