Tonga's Ministry of Information and Communications in conjunction with the Prime Minister's Office of the Government of the Kingdom of Tonga, has issued a communiqué announcing its annual list of official non-working public holidays in Tonga for the upcoming calendar year 2017.
As was the case for the past 3 years (2015-11-12, 2014-12-20 and 2014-01-02), but contrary to what happened in years before that (2013-01-04 and 2012-01-06), the aforementioned list of 2017 non-working public holidays in Tonga is in line with the "Public Holidays (Amendment) Act 2010" (Act No. 10 of 2010) which moves the date of some mid-week public holidays to the nearest Monday (2010-05-19 and 2010-04-08).
