The Government of India's state of Jammu and Kashmir has issued the Government Order No: 520-GAD of 2017 which amends its annual list of the days which will be non-working public holidays in India's state of Jammu and Kashmir for the upcoming calendar year 2017.
The Government Order No: 520-GAD of 2017 amends the annual list of the days which will be non-working public holidays in India's state of Jammu and Kashmir for the upcoming calendar year 2017, as released last autumn (11-Dec-2016), by changing the date of the upcoming Mairaj-ul-Alam (The Prophet's Ascension) annual public holiday of India's state of Jammu and Kashmir ("In partial modification of Government Order No: 1345-GAD of 2016 dated: 19-12-2016, the holiday on account of Shab-e-Mairaj shall be observed on 25 April 2017 (Tuesday), instead of 24 April 2017 (Monday) in the government offices and educational institutions of the State").
