The Government of India's state of Punjab has announced its annual list of the days which will be non-working public holidays in India's state of Punjab for the upcoming calendar year 2018.

The aforementioned notification of the annual list of the days which will be non-working public holidays in India's state of Punjab for the upcoming calendar year 2018, are contained in the Notification No.6/7/2017-2PP3/S91 issued by the Government of Punjab yesterday, covering Government Holidays and Restricted Holidays in India's state of Punjab for the upcoming calendar year 2018, and which states in footnote 1 that the "[d]ate of holiday in respect of Birthday of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji will be announced later" and in footnote 4 that "[t]he festival of 'Raksha Bandhan' falls on 26th August, 2018 (Sunday)".

As compared to last year's list of public holidays in India's state of Punjab (2016-12-18), the list of Government Holidays and Restricted Holidays in India's state of Punjab for the upcoming calendar year 2018, is sharply reduced, though later one-off announcements of public holidays in India's state of Punjab are always possible (2017-12-24, 2017-09-01 and 2017-04-22).
